Talbot Tiger

I have carried a strong admiration for tigers since I was little kid. I always thought tiger stripes were a little flamboyant to be useful as camouflage but their beauty is undeniable. A big orange, black and white cat stuck out like a sour thumb in my young imagination. When I started painting, I found that orange and black could blend together to make a muted brown and I further realized that the white fur on their underside counteracts the shadow that their body would cast making them flat and formless to whatever they were stalking.

You may see me coming but your not ready for what I'm bringing

The Oringinal Handball Court

I could feel that jack hammer. That wall meant a lot to me and my crew. They should declared that wall a landmark.

Colossus

I play video games. When I was a teenager I spent a lot of time in Teddy Bears playing Street Fighter 2 and looking at the aliens Wombat painted. I've got a PS3 and a Wii. I dig interactive entertainment. I've even designed a couple of video games. You can find them at:

http://www.hotswat.com.

One of my favorite video games is "Shadow of the Colossus". I can't say it's the best game ever, because it a little sparse. Shadow of the Colossus strips away many video game conventions and chose to focus on boss battles and horse back riding.

This game was ground breaking and revolutionary. It will wow any open minded gamer ready for change. Pick it up for PS2 or your 80gig PS3. Listen up and don't be stupid.

This painting was bananas

THE MONKEY PAINTING
15'X30'
Spraypaint
late 90's

This painting was inspired by evolution. A male chimpanzee is smashing two rock together to protect his family from their dangerous environment. An ape can grip a stone because it has opposable thumbs adapted to grip tree branches. The chimp starts a fire with the sparks from the clashing stones. An orangoutang and a japanese macaque evacuate the forest. A Human charges into the flame with a monkey wrench to open an implied fire hydrant.

The stones represent early tools and the monkey wrench represent a modern tool and a visual pun. Our hands are responsible for our humanity. The tools we hold have empowered mankind to the an untold degree. We can make and hold tools because of the hands that we inherited from our distant relatives. Evolution is an elegant system at the root of life.

This painting was a real accomplishment for me. It was done in all Krylon spraypaint which was is difficult to control and I finished it in one week after school. This painting was lost, which is a tragedy. I found a snapshot of the painting. I retouched it, now it lives on in cyberspace. Breath it deep into your eyes ladies and gentlemen.

The night is the time you really appreciate light. During the day you can bask in the sunlight and the bright blue sky. Light is abundant. After dusk and until dawn the sky is revealed in its true form. Black and deep and speckled with tiny glimmering stars. The day time sky is just an illusion.

I am going on a trip. Do you want to come?

Keep your eyes on the sky

I need this

I like to be prepared. I keep a good pocket knife on my hip in case I get in a jam. My pencil might need sharpening, I might need to get in a box or I might even buy something that comes in one of those impenetrable plastic bubble packages. That's when I reach for my trusty pocket knife and tear into action. I hope you guys are prepared.

Crazy Artist's Statement

My Mom named me Jason but they call me SWAT. Simultaneously Witnessing All Things is what I write but it is also what I do. I'm one of the founding members of the legendary ALA crew and I've been heavy in the Boston graffiti scene since 1992. I've been at the center of controversy and have had to fend off a lot of hatred, but everyone that really knows the deal respects me as one of the craziest writers to ever walk the streets of Boston. I like to draw, use a paint brush and sculpt, but my favorite medium is spraypaint.

I paint to open eyes and stimulate minds. The life we all share, is the inspiration for my work. I am out to debunk lies and expose the truth. I've been able to read between the lines and formulate a personal reality in which all things work together to form existence. My paintings illustrate the true purpose of life on earth, and reveal the role we play in our vast universe.

It has been a constant struggle for me to convey the truth, because people are scared of it. Cowards run this world, with big bucks, big lies and big guns. I've got big balls and I will fight and die before I betray my people and the bond we share. I have answers for life's biggest questions, and there are people that don't want you to know the truth, so I paint. Paintings are archival, so hopefully my story will be told even if the secret puppet master pulls a string and kills me for empowering the people he exploits.

670 Million Miles Per Hour

Life is light. My purpose on earth is to shine my light like a star shining in the sky.

Why do stars shine light? Scientists understand how a star shines, but little thought has gone into why. Explosive nuclear fusion and contracting gravitational pull create volatile balance which is how a star produces light, but for what reason.

I tilt my head back to gaze at the night sky, and the light I see conveys a message. I wonder who else is looking at these stars and are they getting the message. I wonder if the stars are able to in some way "feel" each other's light. Maybe the sun spots and solar flares we have witnessed on the surface of the sun are the words and language of stars. Light gives us energy and heat, most people figure this is all the sun is good for. I feel that its benefits to us are nearly irrelevant and that star light has greater purpose.

"670 Million Miles Per Hour" is the speed of light, and the title of the above painting. The painting is meant to put the spotlight on light and to get people thinking about what light is really about. I've gathered a lot of star light in my brain and I've reached a higher understanding of what stars are saying with their shine.

Issac Newton

Isaac Newton explained gravity to mankind. With mathematics and imagination, Newton brought fourth a cascade of understanding of our world and our universe. He realized that the same force that pulled the apple down from the tree, was the force holding the moon in orbit around the earth and the earth around the Sun.

Gravity is small enough to bust your ass and not break your back. It is also big enough to swing Jupiter's big ass around in a circle.

Size can sometime confuse us. In a way, Size is one of the biggest difference between us and anything else. You have photons, particles, atoms, molecules, elements, proteins, cells, plants, bugs, animals, people, houses, buildings, mountains, cities, countries, continents, satellites, planets, stars and galaxies. I hold all things itty-bitty to big and strong to the same standard. I have found those things that are big and the ones that small are governed by the same rules.

I have used the things I know to teach me the things I don't. I have been able to think past obstacles like size to understand an all encompassing view of existence, stay tuned for further information.

Get Ready

Looking out into the world with wide eyes and wonder, is a hobby of mine. I stare with a lingering gaze to see auras mingle and energy transference. Observation has allowed me to identify a structure to life that I hope to explore in this blog. There is a common thread that binds all things, It's my job to find that thread and yank it.
